Public Imagination Labs are think-tanks that bring artists, practitioners, and leaders together to explore solutions to challenges facing our communities. Grounded in design thinking, narrative and culture change strategies, research, and insights from social movements and non-arts fields; these labs inform the development of our cultural advocacy projects.
Health & Environment Public Imagination Labs

Green Lab. Promotes environmental advocacy and sustainability through public awareness, cultural strategy, policy work and resource stewardship, and collaborations with organizations and leaders.
Health Equity Lab: Promotes equitable access to healthcare and community wellness resources by addressing the impacts of race, gender, and economic status on health outcomes.
Story Medicine Lab. Uses storytelling and narrative strategy to improve the patient-provider relationship with a focus on empathy, active listening, cultural competence and trauma-informed care.
Nourish Food Security & Nutrition Lab. Promotes reliable access to nutritious food for healthier communities by promoting equity and sustainability in food systems, and examining the impacts of food insecurity.
Equity, Inclusion & Community Belonging Public Imagination Labs

Justice Reframed Lab. Promotes dismantling systemic racism by focusing on equity, economic justice, policy change, and community-led initiatives that center Black and Brown leaders.
Queer Liberation Lab. Advocates for the collective freedom of LGBTQIA+ communities by advocating for queer and trans rights, affirming healthcare access, and protection from discrimination and violence.
Housing Equity & Access Lab. Works to dismantle barriers to housing and economic stability by promoting affordable housing solutions, anti-discrimination policies, tenant protections, and equitable development.
Safe Communities Lab. Centers creating safer public spaces through crime and violence prevention resources and innovative community-led initiatives.
Digital Inclusion & Tech Equity Lab. Works to promote digital literacy in historically marginalized communities while addressing the environmental and economic impacts of existing and emerging technologies.
